PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for generating a maximum solid model which can be accomodated in a prescribed space for saving labor and time to improve operating efficiency. PSOLUTION: A generation device of a maximum solid model, which can be accomodated in a prescribed space, is provided with an inputting means 15 which receives the input both of three-dimensional data, which indicate the shape and position of a peripheral object, and of posture information which indicates the posture of a maximum solid model to be generated; an tip-detecting means 17 which detects the tips of objects, which face the respective surfaces of the maximum solid model, on the prescribed space sides; and a solid model-generating means 18 which generates the maximum solid model based on a space which contacts the tips of the objects and is surrounded by six surfaces which are parallel to the respective surfaces of the maximum solid model.
