PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact point power transmission system with an easily realizable simple configuration, capable of flexibly dealing with various electronic apparatuses in a very wide range by enabling flexibly adjusting the transmission power of a single power transmitter so as to adapt to rated power of an apparatus of a power receiver side. PSOLUTION: Sub-capacitors (C3, C4) (alternatively, sub-coils LB2, LB3) are provided and active state/non-active state of each of the sub-capacitors is switched on the basis of enable signals (S1-S4) to vary the resonant characteristic (resonant frequency) of an LC resonant circuit. In this way, the transmission power of the power transmitter (10) is adjusted so as to adapt to the maximum rated power of the power receiver (40). In authentication before start of usual power transmission, authentication information including information 4 about rated power is transmitted from the power receiver (40) to the power transmitter (10).
