PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap blocking structure which copes with a gap formed between an external wall member and a horizontal panel of a temporary house, and facilitates assembly and disassembly thereof, and to provide a gap blocking member which implements the gap blocking structure.;SOLUTION: The gap blocking structure is constructed by arranging gap eliminating members 4, 104 in the gap between the horizontal panel and the external wall member 1 when the horizontal panel 3 is erected such that an edge thereof abuts on an inside surface of a steel column 2. The first gap blocking member 4 is formed of a reference piece 41 having a surface abutting on the external wall member 1, a horizontal piece 42 extending from the reference piece in an orthogonal direction, an edge abutting piece 43 extending from a suitable location of a lower surface of the horizontal piece in the same direction in which one edge of the reference piece extends, to thereby abut on the edge of the horizontal panel, and an overhanging piece 44 formed like the U in cross section.
