PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance evaluation method of a display device capable of objectively evaluating whether glittering occurs, and a display quality evaluation device.;SOLUTION: The photographing region on the display surface of the display device 72 is photographed by a digital camera 6 in the state that a cover part 90 is present at the first position on the display device 72 to acquire the first brightness data of the photographing region, the cover part is horizontally moved to the second position on the display device 72, the photographing region of the display surface of the display device 72 is photographed by the digital camera 6 to acquire the second brightness data of the photographing region, the ratio of the first and second brightness data is calculated with respect to the same coordinates on the basis of the first and second brightness data and the performance of the glittering phenomenon of the display device 72 is evaluated on the basis of the calculated ratio value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
