PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conducting mechanism for an image forming apparatus, which is capable of stably retaining continuity state using a simple constitution, and to provide a conducting member that is desirably adopted for an image forming apparatus or the like.;SOLUTION: The conducting mechanism for the image forming apparatus A is designed, such that a unit member 80 having a power supply principal part 85 is mounted in an apparatus body 1 so as to be freely dismounted therefrom; and when the unit member 80 is mounted, the particular contact portion 19a of the power source substrate 19 of the apparatus body 1 and the contact portion 87 of the power supply principal part 85 electrically conduct via the conducting member. The conducting member is formed from a conductive compression coil 20 spring, in which a large-diameter portion 20a and a small-diameter portion 20b are continuous. A circular hole 18a, which is greater than the small-diameter portion of the coil spring but smaller than the large-diameter portion thereof, is formed in the frame portion of the apparatus body. The small-diameter portion of the coil spring is made to pass through the circular hole so as to extend beyond the mounting part of the unit member, and the large-diameter portion is elastically mounted between the frame portion, with the contact portion of the power source substrate in a compressed state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
