PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic endoscope which enables the easy confirmation of an observation target member, at the time of comparing ultrasonic endoscope observation images with optical observation images. PSOLUTION: An ultrasonic endoscope (12) comprises a long narrow insertion part (22) having a distal end portion and a base end portion, and an operation part (24) provided at the base end portion of the insertion part. The insertion part is provided with a distal end hard section (32) on the tip surface of the distal end portion, which includes an ultrasonic oscillator (42), a forceps channel opening (38a), and objective lens (44) all in alignment.
