PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stack a transfer material in a state where at least one side of it is aligned, regardless of the size of the transfer material by providing a detecting means for detecting the tailing edge of the transfer material, in a carrying means and making the carrying speed of the carrying means slower than an image forming speed, linked with the detection of the tailing edge of the transfer material. ;SOLUTION: When the tailing edge of the transfer material passes through a paper ejecting roller, the carrying of the transfer material at a speed faster than the image forming speed is attempted by a first carrying roller 7. However, a slacking part 9 slacks/absorbs the transfer material. Thus, the transfer material is ejected into a stacking part at the image forming speed, but when the tailing edge of the transfer material passes through a rocking lever 13, this lever 13 is released from the gravity of the transfer material and turned in a direction opposite to the direction of an arrow C, to turn off a limit switch 17. The revolving speed of a drive source is reduced only for a specified time with the signal of the turning off and the carrying speeds of the first carrying roller 7 and a second carrying roller 8 are reduced by a transmission means such as a timing belt.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
