PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a synthetic resin sheet or a synthetic resin board, especially a synthetic resin floor material with a chip pattern close to a natural marble pattern with a clear pattern boundary line.;SOLUTION: Large-size chips 21 made of various synthetic resins are held by suction means 13 and are carried to required positions on a synthetic resin base material layer 16 and after the large-size chips 21 are placed on the required positions on the synthetic resin base material layer by releasing the suction means, these chips are heated and pressed to manufacture the synthetic resin sheet or the synthetic resin board with the chip pattern close to the natural marble pattern. The apparatus for manufacturing it comprises a suction means for sucking various large-size chips, a carrying means for moving the suction means on the required positions on the base material layer, an on/off means for suction, and a heating and pressing means for heating and pressing the base material layer on which the large-size chips are placed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
