METHOD FOR CONTROLING A COMPONENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR VEHICLE WHEELS, AND APPLIANCE FOR DEPOSITING AT LEAST A COMPLIANCE SUPPORT IN A COMPONENT MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR A VEHICLE TIRE INVENTION to a method for controlling a vehicle wheel tire component manufacturing process in which at least one elongate member (3) fed by a dispensing member (4,5) is distributed on a forming support (2) by at least one compression element (8) acting on said at least one elongate element (3) along a compression direction (P). The method comprises the steps of substantially continuously detecting the value of a characteristic amount indicating the displacement of said at least one compression element (8) along said compression direction (P); comparing the detected value of said characteristic quantity with a threshold value and generating a warning signal when the detected value of said characteristic quantity exceeds said threshold value. Such a control method allows the presence of possible deposition anomalies to be identified directly from the deposition step of the elongated elements (3) on the forming support (2), so as to ensure even higher quality levels in tires manufactured through continuous processes.
