The present invention relates to a roller support system for supporting a rotatably driven tubular body so that it can be tilted, axially displaced and rotated. The inventive roller support system (2) comprises two rollers (3) that are disposed symmetrically on both sides of the longitudinal center plane (1b) of a vertical tubular body (1) and that are received by two pivot bearings (5) that are fastened so as to be tilted on a bearing plate (6) that is supported on a stationary foundation (7, 8). The aim of the invention is to allow for an optimum and smooth self-adjustment of every roller. To this end, every bearing plate (6) supporting each one roller (3) is supported on the foundation (7, 8) via two pivot bearings (9, 10) that are disposed at a transversal distance (QA) to each other on the tubular body (1) longitudinal axis. The inner pivot bearing (9) situated nearer to a vertical longitudinal central plane (1b) of the tubular body (1) is configured as a ball-joint bearing and is stationary fastened on the foundation (7, 8) while the outer pivot bearing (10) situated at a greater distance from said vertical longitudinal central plane (1b) is configured as a free bearing and is supported on the foundation (7, 8) to be slidably movable about the joint center (9a) of the inner pivot bearing (9).
