1. An interface apparatus (10) for providing a sterile barrier between a sterile field and non-sterile handle and control input portions of an associated surgical lighthead (14), the interface apparatus comprising: a cylindrical grippable portion (20) adapted to connect onto the handle portion (12) of the associated surgical lighthead, the grippable portion being flexible, to enable squeezing and rotating the handle portion relative to the associated surgical lighthead through the grippabie portion; and, an upper portion (22, 24) carried on the cylindrical grippable portion and arranged to overlay a control input portion of the associated surgical lighthead the upper portion being flexible to enable actuation of the control input portion of the associated surgical lighthead through the upper portion.
