The invention relates to a method of producing artificial stone slabs that are particularly suitable for external use. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: grinding the different materials with varied grain size that form the filler; storing the resin with the catalyst and, optionally, the colouring agent; mixing the aforementioned constituents until the materials have been homogenised with the resin; moulding and compacting the paste obtained by means of vibro-compression under vacuum; heating the resin in order to harden same by means of polymerisation; and cooling and polishing same.
