The equipment (1) is for the supply of hot water to a tap point (2) and has primary and secondary heating units ensuring that water is heated to the required temperature. The primary heating unit (3) is connected by a conduit (4) to the tap point. Near the tap point is a secondary heating unit (15) which at least temporarily heats the water supplied by the primary heating unit to the required temperature. The heating units are both boilers.
