Disclosed is a recombinant expression vector for expressing an immunoprotective antigen in a plant, comprising a DNA sequence encoding the hemagglutinin antigen of Avian Influenza Virus, wherein the vector is pCHA. In particular expression of the antigen is in the fruit of the plant, particularly a tomato plant.
