The invention relates to a biotechnological process meant for in-vitro culturing Lentinula edodes macromycetes for preparing a fungal biomass with immunomodulating, antitumour and anti-infectious properties. The claimed process consists of the submerged culturing of macromycetes of said species on a liquid nourishing medium of a given composition, said medium being transferred into culturing vessels of 1000...5000 ml which are sterilized at 121A C, cooled down to 25A C, aseptically inoculated with pure culture mycelium, fed to incubators ensuring a constant temperature of 23...25A C and a stirring rate of 100...120 rpm, where they are kept for 10...14 days, at the end of said period there resulting a fungal biomass consisting of spherical mycelial formations which are separated from the liquid medium by centrifugation, then slowly dehydrated and conditioned as granules of 0.1...0.5mm. The so obtained biomass is meant to be used for therapeutic purposes, due to its immunomodulating, antitumour and anti-infectious properties determined by the content of beta-D-glucans, glycoproteins, galacto-gluco-manans and ergosterols.
