Concentrations of glucose and insulin in the peripheral blood are measured and Sago index is calculated as their ratio. When Sago index is inferior to 0.33 units and one of the symptoms of the arterial hypertension, the impairments of cardiohemodynamics or diastolic function is evident, beta-adrenoblocker, in particular Carvedilol is used at a daily dose of 12.5-50.0 mg according to ABCDE schedule for 3 months.
