Speed regulator has a monitoring device for modifying the regulating function depending on the condition of the roadway. A monitoring device is designed to evaluate the condition of the roadway on the basis of the measured wheel speed. The wheel speed difference is then compared with the typical wheel speed difference, which arise with driving along the curves or due to wheel slip on the normal roadway.
