The filling at least for some of the channels (14), comprises molded material. The molded material (12) is drawn into the channels. All channels of the brick are filled. Some channels (16), especially with smaller openings, are filled with bulk material or other insulating particles which can be blown-in. These are comprised especially of mineral fibers, with or without a binder. They are blown or sucked into the channels. The channels are formed with regular, symmetrical cross sections; they are rectangular, round or elliptical. Independent claims are included for the following: (A) the corresponding brick; (B) manufacturing equipment; (C) and masonry.
