Battery management system with controllable adapter output

A battery management system (300) comprises a control circuit and an adapter. The control circuit (320) can be used to generate a control signal (350) according to a status of each cell (310_1,...,310_n) of a plurality of cells (310_1,...,310_n) in a battery pack (301). The adapter (302) receives the control signal (350) and charges the battery pack (304). An output power of the adapter (302) is adjusted according to the control signal (350).
