The device (19) has multiple electrical connection types (21) arranged in an isolating housing (20). The connection types include ferrule terminals for inserting a connection cable. The ferrule terminals consist of a metal sheet and are bent such that the ferrule terminals are closed on three sides. A fourth side of the ferrule terminals is closed favorably by a part of the housing, so that the connection cable is not moved laterally from the ferrule terminals. The ferrule terminals exhibit a distant section that is stuck out from the housing for an electrical connection. An independent claim is also included for an electric hot plate comprising a cover.
