A kind of method includes the wavelet conversion method and watermark insertion unit for JPEG2000 (joint photographic experts group) compression unit for being inserted into a watermark, although being used to be inserted into the field of a watermark pair (intermediate frequency) one quantization wavelet coefficient. Quantization wavelet coefficient is replaced by watermark and is inserted into the minimum bit region of coefficient.
