A RAIL-ASSEMBLY FOR REFRIGERATOR AND REFRIGERATOR COMPRISING THE SAME

A rail assembly for refrigerator and a refrigerator having the same are provided to precisely move moving rails with respect to fixed rails at the same speed by employing guide elements, thereby inserting or drawing a receiving box into or from a storing space precisely. A rail assembly includes a pair of fixed rails(50) mounted at both side surfaces in a storing space long in the front-and-rear direction. A pair of moving rails(70) is movably mounted in the length direction of the fixed rails. Guide elements(60) move the moving rails with respect to the fixed rails at the same speed. The guide elements have a plurality of ball bearings(65,75) mounted between the fixed and moving rails for reducing friction between them, and holding protrusions(69) formed at either of the fixed or moving rails at a predetermined interval in the moving direction of the moving rails to hold the ball bearings in sequence.
