CONTROL METHOD OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROL SYSTEM FOR SOLVING TRAFFIC JAM

A method of controlling a traffic signal control system is provided to improve traffic jam by controlling traffic flow using a go straight time of crossroads and segments, which are set to position no stopping vehicles on a crossroad. A traffic jam interval is determined. The traffic jam interval is divided into segments, which are set to position no stopping vehicles on a crossroad. Go straight times(Tf,Te,Td,Tc,Tb) of crossroads in the traffic jam interval are estimated based on the segments. Then, the go straight times are inputted to a traffic signal control system. A straight signal of the traffic signal control system at respective crossroads is controlled using the go straight times and straight signals of respective crossroads.
