A marker of norepinephrine transporter gene polymorphism is provided to predict response of a patient to noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor drugs, so that the kind of an anti-depressant drug is selected based on the polymorphism genetic information of the patient. A marker of norepinephrine transporter gene polymorphism G1287A is useful for predicting response of a patient to noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor drugs. A method for predicting the response of a patient to noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor drugs or selecting a drug comprises the steps of: (i) collecting a DNA sample from a patient and detecting the norepinephrine transporter gene; and (ii) identifying the polymorphism of the norepinephrine transporter gene. A kit for predicting response of a patient to noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor drugs comprises a primer for screening sequence mutation of the norepinephrine transporter gene polymorphism having the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NOs:1 and 2, and a primer and probe for genotyping.
