Hybrid catalysts of DME steam reforming for producing hydrogen for fuel cells are provided to allow activities of the prepared hybrid catalysts to improve substantially activities of a hybrid catalyst of a commercial catalyst for methanol synthesis and the solid acid catalyst by mixing various copper-based catalysts with a solid acid catalyst to prepare hybrid catalysts, a method of preparing the hybrid catalysts is provided, and a method of producing hydrogen using the hybrid catalysts is provided. A method of preparing a hybrid catalyst comprises mixing a copper-based hybrid oxide catalyst selected from CuO/Fe3O4/Ga2O3, CuO/Fe3O4/MnO2, and CuO/MnO2/Ga2O3 with a solid acid catalyst of gamma-Al2O3 at a weight ratio of 1:1. The copper-based hybrid oxide catalyst is prepared by adjusting a composition by using as a precursor two different metal nitrides including Cu(NO3)2, and one selected from the group consisting of Ga(NO3)3, Fe(NO3)2, and Mn(NO3)2, adding an alkali solution selected from NaOH, Na2CO3, and NaHCO3 into the composition, subjecting the mixed solution to a precipitation reaction at a temperature of 70 to 90 deg.C and a pH of 10 to 11, agitating the resulting solution for 1 to 2 hours and cooling the agitated solution to obtain a precipitate, filtering and cleaning the precipitate, drying the cleaned precipitate at 90 to 110 deg.C in an air atmosphere for 11 to 13 hours, and firing the dried precipitate at 340 to 360 deg.C for 11 to 13 hours.
