The switching arrangement has a switch (s) with two connections. The connections are electrically connected with one another in one position of the switch and electrically separated from each other in another position of the switch. Connections of a supply voltage (Vp) are provided. Two circuit inputs (INh,INl) are available on which two different electrical potentials are provided, which are different from the potentials of supply voltage. The circuit inputs are attached to a circuit part which comprises analogue-digital converter (A/D1,A/D2). An independent claim is also included for a method for the examination of a switching position.
