The device has multiple marking carriers provided with a reference marking and arranged on a rigid retainer. Two groups of three marking carriers are arranged and aligned to each other in such a manner that the reference markings of one group of marking carriers lie in a reference level, and the reference markings of other group of marking carriers lie in another reference level. Both reference levels are cut in a common cutting line. An independent claim is also included for a method for aligning a number of line lasers, particularly adjusting lasers of a medical ion beam treatment device.
