The internal combustion engine has two cylinders and a slide valve, having a transverse opening, based on its longitudinal axis, provided for regulating the amount of air that flows into the cylinders. The slide valve consists of an excentric through opening based on longitudinal axis and the slide valve is arranged at the cylinder head corresponding to a flanged housing.
