Solar cell manufacturing method for conversion of light into electrical energy, involves etching surface of solar cell substrate by etching solution during etching time, and removing etching solution from surface of substrate
The method involves providing a solar cell substrate (1) with a semiconductor substrate (2) with a p-n junction (5). A pre-determined volume of an etching solution e.g. phosphoric acid and potassium hydroxide, is applied on a surface of the solar cell substrate by an etching solution-microdosing device (13). The surface of the solar cell substrate is etched by the etching solution during an etching time. The etching solution is removed from the surface of the solar cell substrate after the etching time. The etching solution is evaporated from the surface by heating the solar cell substrate.
