The sensor (1) has housing (2) fastened at a base plate (3) in a play-free and detachable manner using a pushing unit (7), an associated retaining unit (6) and a screw (8). An arm of a pedal is supported at the housing. The pushing unit is formed at an end of the base plate (3), where the end is longitudinally distant from the screw. A rhombic central lug is formed at the housing in an area of the retaining unit. A recess is formed at the pushing unit. The retaining unit is arranged in an area of the housing, and is placed at the bottom in a motor vehicle in an inserted condition.
