The filler is formed from the mixture of hollow balls and granules (in 50 wt.%) with a grain size of 100-800 mu m and 10-400 mu m respectively. The bonding agent (2-20 wt.%) comprises a mixture of carboxymethylcellulose and starch ether. The ratio of carboxymethylcellulose and starch ether is 1:20-20:1. The supporting core exhibits a residual moisture of 0.1-0.5 wt.%. An independent claim is included for a method to produce a hollow structural unit from fiber-reinforced plastic with a water dispersible supporting core.
