PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting capable of surely contacting a probe.;SOLUTION: A rest plate 35 extended in a width direction from a front end edge of a right side plate 13R of a square cylinder part 10 is provided, and a probe P is made to contact the rest plate 35, so that a contact area of the probe P in the width direction is wider than a plate thickness of the right side plate 13R and the probe P can be surely made in contact with the square cylinder part 10, even if the former P is deviated in a width direction. Moreover, as at least a part corresponding to a tab-intrusion space 32 in an extended end edge 35S of the rest plate 35 is arranged in an area between the right side plate 13R and an elastic contact piece 25, interference between a tab 54 getting into a tab-intrusion space 32 and the rest plate 35 can be avoided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
