The nut has a core (1) with proximal and distal ends (1a, 1b) and threaded inner hole (1c), and a shell (2) comprising an inner hole (2c). The shell has another distal end (2b), whose inner diameter equals to an outer diameter of the proximal end. The core is provided with a peripheral skirt (3), where an outer diameter of the skirt is higher than an inner diameter of the hole proximal to the distal end of the shell. The shell and the core are formed as single part, where distal section of the core has an axial length equal to an axial length of the shell. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for installing a blind rivet nut (2) a method for installing a blind rivet nut.
