The conveyor has two sections in which one longitudinally moves with respect to another between folded and unfolded positions of the conveyor. An endless belt (50) extends along an endless loop around the sections having a body structure with two stringers made in shape of profiles (11, 21, 31). The sections have sliding units to slide the profiles. The sliding units have slugs (19, 29) integrated with the profiles (11, 21). The slugs are freely slid with respect to the profiles (21, 31) adjacent to the profile (11, 21).
