The floating device for distilling liquid (5) e.g. seawater for the production of electricity, comprises a parabolic element (1) whose inner surface (2) reflects the solar radiation (3) towards an immersed heat conducting tube (4). The heat conducting tube crosses the parabolic element along its axis, and passes through its focal point. Vapor is evacuated by a part emerging from a tube, which is equipped with a steam engine or a turbine operated by an electrical generator and with a unit to condense the vapor. An end of the tube part has a reservoir, which collects the condensed liquid. The floating device for distilling liquid (5) sea water for the production of electricity, comprises a parabolic element (1) whose inner surface (2) reflects the solar radiation (3) towards an immersed heat conducting tube (4). The heat conducting tube crosses the parabolic element along its axis, and passes through its focal point. Vapor is evacuated by a part emerging from a tube, which is equipped with a steam engine or a turbine operated by an electrical generator and with a unit to condense the vapor. An end of the tube part has a reservoir, which collects the condensed liquid. The parabolic element is closed in its upper part by a transparent sealing element, and equipped with a counterbalance in the immersed part. The immersed tube is a good heat conductor, and externally heat insulated on any part immersed up to a collector located in focus of the parabolic element. The collector is equipped with a valve and fixed with a support. The immersed tube and/or its insulator are ballasted for deep plunging in the liquid. The counterbalance is provided with cables for their anchorage, and is movable and/or motorized along rails fixed to the parabolic element. The immersed tube and/or emerging tube are flexible after crossing the parabolic element. A spherical and sealed shell is fixed with the parabolic element to allow a significant inclination. The collector support base is equipped with light sensors and/or photo voltaic cell detecting any shadow caused by the collector.
