PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a processing time of a back projection algorithm. PSOLUTION: A contribution data extracting unit extracts, from pulse compression data including information which contributes to reproduction of each point on a reproduced image, contribution data which contributes to formation of a reproduced image of picture elements included in an observation target area for each picture element every time when a data input unit 6 inputs the pulse compression data without waiting for all the pulse compression data to be input. A multiplication unit 11 multiples reference data formed based on shift information of a platform with the contribution data, and thereby forms multiplication data every time when the contribution data extracting unit extracts the contribution data. An addition unit 12 adds the multiplication data formed from the contribution data which contributes to formation of a reproduced image of the same area to reproduce an image for each area, and forms a reproduced image every time when the multiplication unit 11 forms the multiplication data.
