PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly achieve setting of a performance monitor threshold and monitoring of performance concerning a storage resource under an SAN environment according to operation process being executed. PSOLUTION: This storage management system is configured of a host computer; a storage device 0104; a storage network; and a management server 0105. The management server 0105 includes: a performance information collection part for collecting a current performance value related with a storage resource; a composition section determination part for determining composition sections corresponding to the composition rate of a plurality of operation processes; a threshold information storage part for storing a performance monitor threshold according to the composition sections for one or more storage resource; and a performance determination part for determining the performance of the storage resource based on the current performance value and the performance monitor threshold.
