PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear-seat occupant crash protection device capable of properly protecting a head part of a rear-seat occupant at a front collision of a vehicle.;SOLUTION: This protection device protects the rear-seat occupant B sitting on a rear seat 5 on a rear side of a front seat 3 provided with a seat belt 7 with a load limiter function at the front collision of the vehicle. The protection device is provided with a collision sensor 25 for detecting the front collision, and seat back saving mechanisms (lock mechanism 44 and control unit 23) allowing displacement of the seat back 12 of the front seat 3 to the front by prescribed timing continuous to front displacement of a front seat occupant A sitting on the front seat 3 when the front collision is detected by the collision sensor 25.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
