PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein it is required that a culture system significantly expressing human Shh, and a primer for a PCR, efficiently amplifying the expressed Shh are established because the Shh is required to be expressed in a detectable level for the evaluation of a hair-fostering or growing medicine by using the human Shh as an index, and it becomes an extremely important problem that an agonist of the Shh having possibility of exhibiting carcinogenesis, and a material directly promoting the expression of the Shh are avoided.;SOLUTION: The evaluation of the hair-growing medicine by using the Shh which is hardly detected in a flat culture system as an index is enabled by using a cell aggregation comprising human hair papilla cells and outer root sheath cells, and discovering a PCR primer for efficiently detecting the expression of the human Shh. The risk of selecting a carcinogenic material is avoided by monitoring the action for accelerating the expression of the Shh for the first time after the elapse of 24 hr from the addition of the test material to enable the hair-fostering or growing-accelerating activity of the test material to be evaluated safely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
