PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide production capable of safely, inexpensively and safely producing rare-earth transition metal-nitrogen-based magnet powders by a reduction diffusion method without reducing magnetic characteristics, and without using gaseous hydrogen or causing a reduced product to disintegrate by reducing an amount of use, a composition for a bond magnet using the same, and a bond magnet capable of making various apparatuses smaller in sizes and higher in characteristics.;SOLUTION: The production method of the rare-earth transition metal-nitrogen-based magnet powder comprising using water or water and gaseous hydrogen in the disintegration in a step of mixing transition metal alloy powder, rare earth oxide powder, and a reducing agent for reducing the rare earth oxide powder, and subjecting the mixture to heating calcination in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to form a reduction diffusion reaction product, then causing the resultant reduced product to disintegrate and expressed by the following formula (1) is provided.
