PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for preparing silage in which Japanese Taro is used in lactic acid fermentation base for animal feeds and is mixed with fish wastes, bean curd refuse, waste liquid of distilled spirit, food residues and so on to obtain silage by lactic acid fermentation, thereby securing high-quality protein, which can maintain it for a long period of time at low cost. PSOLUTION: The animal feeds from lactic acid fermentation base are prepared by treating vegetable raw materials containing at least 20% of water-soluble carbohydrate with vegetable lactic acid bacteria and mycobiont.
