PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent not only falsification of electronic data generation time by a third person, but also falsification or delaying of the electronic data generation time by a time authentication station.;SOLUTION: In a time authentication system, a standard time distribution system 110, a time stamp device 120, and a plurality of devices 130 for time stamp users are connected through a network to communicate with one another. The standard time distribution system 110 holds accurate time and distributes the time to the time stamp device 120. The time stamp device 120 provides time stamp service for time certification to the devices 130 for the time stamp users. Then, random number information paired with the standard time information distributed from the standard time distribution system 110 is added to the standard time information and predetermined processing is carried out to prevent the falsification or intentional delaying of the electronic data generation time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
