PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block television broadcast waves to a subscriber house by remotely controlling a subscriber device 10 of a CATV system.;SOLUTION: The subscriber device includes an amplifier 16 which amplifies a television broadcast wave 26 received through a CATV transmission line 12, an output terminal 38 for a lead-in line 24 for leading the output of the amplifier 16 into the subscriber house, and a broadcast stop control switch 22 interposed between the amplifier 16 and a power source 20. A switch control signal 28 for requesting the switch to be turned off is superposed on the television broadcast wave 26. A demodulating circuit 18 cuts off power supply from the power source 20 to the amplifier 16 when the switch control signal 28 is input.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
