PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To elucidate the protein structure of Stichopus japonicus egg maturation-inducing hormone and a minimum effective protein structure having an excellent economic efficiency so as to increase a Stichopus japonicus mature egg yield.;SOLUTION: The Stichopus japonicus egg maturation-inducing active peptide has a molecular weight derived from Stichopus japonicus radial nerve tissue of 4.6 kDa (measured by TOF-MS method or acrylamide electrophoresis method) and contains an amino acid sequence: VLSKQAHHHHHEGWSLPGVPAEIDDLAGNIDYNIFKEQREKIK (sequence number 1).
