EFFECT PREDICTION METHOD FOR INTERFERON THERAPY AND PREDICTION KIT OF INTERFERON THERAPY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of predicting an effect of interferon therapy to hepatitis C virus (HCV) persistently-infected person.;SOLUTION: A subject is anticipated whether the subject will show excellent response (sustained virological response: SVR) or will show relapse of HCV by making concentration of a substance in a body fluid acquired from the subject being a HCV persistently-infected person specific a marker. As an instance of a body fluid, blood is usually pointed out. The marker substance is captured on a carrier such as a substrate on which an ion exchanger or metal chelator has been immobilized. The concentration of the marker substance can be measured by a mass spectrometry. A kit capable of easily performing this method is also provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
