PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation-resistance evaluating method of carbon-containing refractory for obtaining evaluation similar to the evaluation in an actual furnace.;SOLUTION: The carbon-containing refractory (evaluation sample 11) for evaluating the oxidation resistance is lined on a side wall of an inner wall of a reaction vessel 5 of a high frequency induction furnace 1, the evaluation sample 11 is brought into contact with molten iron 10 of low carbon iron, and the molten iron 10 is stirred by a stirring tool 2. The oxygen concentration in the molten iron is measured by an oxygen sensor 3. When the oxygen concentration is high, carbon, aluminum or the like is added to the molten iron 10, and is made to react with oxygen, thereby controlling the oxygen concentration in the molten iron.
