PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid detecting unit of which the connection/disconnection of an electrical connection to a fixed contact especially for a liquid housing container or the like is easy, and to provide a liquid housing container using it, a manufacturing method and a breaking method for the liquid housing container.;SOLUTION: This liquid detecting unit 111 includes a unit case 133, a sensor 132 which is held by the unit case, relay sections 143c and 144c, and first terminals 143a and 144a and second terminals 143b and 144b on both end sides of the relay sections. The second terminals have relay terminals 143 and 144 which are connected with the sensor. The unit case includes a first terminal holding section 111b, a second terminal holding sections 111c, and a deformation section 112. In this case, the first terminal holding section 111b holds the first terminals of the relay terminals, and the second terminal holding section 111c holds the second terminals of the relay terminals. The deformation section 112 is installed between the first terminal holding section and the second terminal holding section, and is elastically deformed in a direction for contracting a distance W between the first terminal holding section and the second terminal holding section.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
