PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen gas separation system which can highly effectively separate hydrogen from a raw gas.;SOLUTION: A hydrogen purifying method and a hydrogen separator are used for separating a hydrogen gas from the raw gas, the hydrogen separator 20 having at least a hydrogen permeable tube 40 consisting of a hydrogen permeable material. One supporting tube 30 is supplied to each hydrogen permeable tube 40. The supporting tube 30 is arranged in a straight line coaxially to the hydrogen permeable tube 40, wherein a microchannel 42 exists between the hydrogen permeable tube 40 and the supporting tube 30 in their overlapping area. The raw gas is introduced into the microchannel 42. The raw gas extends thinly over the hydrogen permeable tube 40 in the microchannel 42. The raw gas shows a turbulent property when passing through the microchannel 42 owing to the limitation of the microchannel 42.
