PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interface detecting method and detecting device of two-layer liquid for continuously detecting the interface level in a process where the liquid level of the two-layer liquid having two liquids of different specific gravities overlapping each other vertically varies.;SOLUTION: In a tank 10 where two-layer liquid consisting of first liquid 21 of specific gravity γ1 and second liquid 22 of specific gravity γ2 is stored, a liquid level meter 31 for measuring the level of liquid level 23 is installed in an upper part of the tank 10, a water head pressure gauge 32 for measuring water head pressure is installed in a lower part of the tank 10, and an interface level arithmetic device 33 calculates the interface level h2 with the expression h2=(ΔP-h1×γ1)/(γ2-γ1) based on the liquid level h1 measured by the liquid level meter 31 and the water head pressure ΔP measured by the water head pressure gauge 32.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
