PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer chip capacitor such that a user can directly select electrostatic capacity found based upon in-use conditions.;SOLUTION: The multilayer chip capacitor 10 capable of tuning capacitance includes a capacitor body 11 where a plurality of dielectric layers are laminated. A plurality of pairs of first and second internal electrodes are arranged alternately in the capacitor body to have different polarities so as to oppose each other, while interposing dielectric layers. A plurality of pairs of first and second external electrodes 18a and 18b, and 19a and 19b are formed on a surface of the capacitor body to be connected to the first and second internal electrodes. The first and second internal electrodes are divided into a plurality of groups each including at least one pair of the first and second internal electrodes, and the first and second internal electrodes of each of the groups are connected to different pairs of the first and second external electrodes, respectively.
